As a professional in the animal industry and a lifelong animal lover and owner, through research as well as personal experience, I understand the importance of healthy early development in animals. Unfortunately some kittens and puppies for various reasons are denied the ability to nurse and be weaned by their mothers. The Nursing Nanny has effectively provided a surrogate for some of these deprived little ones. In my experience the eventual personality difference in the kittens that I have seen hand fed vs. the kittens that have had the privilege of this surrogate is tremendous. Two such kittens I’ve personally had the opportunity to live with, one hand fed the other nursed by The Nursing Nanny. As the research shows the kitten that was hand fed has grown into an aloof, standoffish cat. While, on the other hand, the kitten that was nursed is one of the most playful, affectionate and generally pleasant (and entertaining) cats I’ve ever lived with. My veterinarian has even remarked upon how well adjusted this cat is and confirmed the theory that kittens that have to jockey for position while nursing develop healthier personalities due to this crucial early social interaction.
I would highly recommend this product to any organization that provides rescue opportunities to kittens and puppies that have for whatever reason been abandoned or orphaned and need to be nursed by a foster human parent. The goal of our organization is to permanently place adoptable pets and in my opinion the chances of succeeding in this goal is greatly increased by an animal that has had the best possible start in life.

Sally I can't thank you enough for creating this amazing product. I don't know what I would have done with out my Nursing Nanny. I take in orphaned baby animals, mostly kittens, but on occasion puppies and even a raccoon too! This product has saved over 100 baby animals in my home alone. I have loaned it out to a few of my rescue friends and they can't wait to get one of their own. The Nursing Nanny has saved me time and has allowed the natural nursing to take place. I never had to rush feedings or worry about forgetting which one I had or hadn't fed. The Nanny was able to nurse up to 3 kittens at once. I was able to leave the "Nanny" in with the babies and they got to nurse at their our leisure and pace. No more worries about aspirating the babies or not knowing if they had enough to eat. When they were full they stopped on their own. And when they got hungry again they went back. I made sure not to leave the milk in past 3 1/2 hours so it wouldn't spoil. Once again thank you so much for helping me help save more orphaned babies!!!! ~Dori
